¡ó Background
Petrochemical and chemical industry is developing healthily on the back of sound economic growth globally in the recent 5 years. Asia-Pacific and Middle East have undoubtedly been fast-growing markets next to America and Europe. China, a major consumer of petrochemicals, is having more and more petrochemical and chemical plants.

When chemical tanker owners energetically contributing new capacity to Asian chemicals shipping market, the cargo owners find it more and more difficult to find a suitable ship to deliver their products. So what happened to the chemical tanker capacity, oversupply or far from enough? When the tanker owner and cargo owner both face the higher oil price, who will digest the cost increase? The political environment is changing in Taiwan, will it affect the intra-Asian chemicals shipping route? When the chemicals shipping and storage market is dominating by foreign companies and their joint ventures, what can our domestic tanker owners do to enter this developing market and stand steady? Meanwhile, what is changing in the chemicals storage market?

We CBI China decide to hold Asian Chemicals Shipping & Storage Conference in Shanghai during September 4-5. This conference will mainly discuss the prospect of Asian Chemicals Shipping & Storage market, status quo of the industry and future opportunities & challenges. Moreover, participants could share their views about enterprise management, development strategy and other hot issues
